Amane Horie, violin
Amane Horie was born in Tokyo and started playing the violin at three years old. At the Tokyo College of Music and as a special scholarship student, Amane studied with Saiko Azuma. Amane subsequently moved to Berlin University of Arts for her master's degree, studying violin with Prof. Mark Gothoni and chamber music with the Artemis Quartett. Amane graduated with the highest distinction.
Amane has had masterclasses with Boris Belkin, György Pauk, Takashi Shimizu, Barnabás Kelemen, Igor Ozim and Federico Agostini.
She has had numerous successes in national and international competitions and as concertmaster and principal second vioin worked in orchestras such as the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the Kammerphilharmonie Amadé and the Neues Kammerorchester Potsdam.
Since 2018 Amane has played as principal second violin of the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein and as soloist, has performed throughout Europe and Asia.
