This year, the Esbjerg Ensemble introduces the internationally acclaimed Mark Simpson as the Composer-in-Residence. Simpson, a British composer and clarinettist, is known for his evocative compositions and soul-stirring performances.

Ditta Rohmann the versatile and internationally acclaimed cellist is performing together with KRISTOFFER HYLDIG who is one of Denmark‘s leading pianists, recognized for his musicality and highly personal, sensitive approach.
Known for his versatility, he is in demand as a soloist, as well as chamber musician and lied accompanist, and his concerts are often broadcasted on Danish Radio.

Ditta Rohmann is a versatile and internationally acclaimed cellist, recognized with multiple awards.
With her authentic and passionate interpretation of J.S. Bach’s music, as well as works written by
contemporary and twentieth-century composers,
she has established herself as a true musical artist, in addition to her classical repertoire,
She also ventures into the realms of jazz and world music, showcasing her talent for diverse musical styles.
As a dedicated teacher, she runs her own summer school in Hungary. In addition to giving regular masterclasses.
Ditta Rohmann is at the top of her profession, holding a position at the prestigious
Franz Liszt Academy of Music as the head of the Cello Department. She also holds a position at the Lucerne Hochschule, further cementing her reputation as a leading figure in the world of classical music.

Lili Boulanger war Nadias jüngere Schwester, die Nadia für begabter hielt als sie selbst.
Lili wurde als Wunderkind anerkannt und verfolgte ein Leben als begabte Komponistin.
Schon in jungen Jahren wurde sie von einer schlechten Gesundheit geplagt
die sie schließlich im tragisch jungen Alter von 24 Jahren das Leben kostete.
Francis Poulencs Sextett für Klavier und Bläser ist ein heiteres und satirisches Stück des Komponisten.
Der erste Satz hat eine Mischung aus verspielter Jazzigkeit und melancholischer Melodie, einschließlich einer möglichen
Anspielung auf “Komm zu mir, mein melancholisches Baby”, die auch im letzten Satz auftaucht.
Georges Enescus Oktett für Streicher wurde als eine erstaunliche Leistung für einen jungen Mann von
neunzehn Jahren gefeiert, und das ist es auch. Enescu schrieb, dass er sich vorgenommen hatte, ein gewaltiges Werk zu schaffen, und er gab zu, dass es
sehr schwer für ihn war, das zu erreichen, was er sich vorgenommen hatte: “Kein Ingenieur, der seine erste Hängebrücke über einen
Fluss baut, kann sich mehr gequält haben als ich, als ich nach und nach mein Manuskript
mit Noten füllte.” Aber das Endergebnis war wirklich verblüffend.

Anna Emmeluth veröffentlicht derzeit ihr Debütalbum am 1. September, und bei dem Konzert wird das Trio Versionen von Emmeluths neuen Kompositionen, Rönkäs Musik und ausgewählte Perlen aus jazzinspirierten Stücken aus der klassischen Welt spielen, arrangiert vom Trio.
Artturi Rönkä besucht Esbjerg als Komponist und Musiker-Gast des Esbjerg International Chamber Music Festival, und sein Stück “Phases II” für Trio wird dort uraufgeführt. Antti Salovaara tritt im Esbjerg Ensemble auf. Rönkä und Salovaara sind seit ihrem gemeinsamen Studium in Paris vor 10 Jahren Kollegen.
