Francis Poulenc: Trio for Piano, Oboe, and Bassoon, Op. 114

This concert programme showcases a wide variety of chamber music performed by four world-class artists: the Festival’s Artistic Director Michel Camille from England, David Dinu from Romania, Antti Salovaara from Finland, and Kristoffer Hyldig from Denmark.

Each composition tonight not only showcases the unique timbral qualities of the viola, bassoon, and oboe but also reflects the distinct stylistic contributions of its composer to the chamber music repertoire. From the romantic depths of Schubert to the elegant clarity of Saint-Saëns, and the modern wit of Poulenc, we invite you to immerse yourself in the exquisite dialogue between these instruments and their pianistic partner.
